About Heatseeker

Surveys tell you what people say. Heatseeker shows you what they do.

Heatseeker is market research rebuilt on behavior. We pair always-on synthetic personas, grounded in a company's first-party data, with live in-market experiments on Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok. Enterprise teams use us to test concepts, value propositions, creatives and segments, and get proof in days, not quarters. Our personas are calibrated against real outcomes, with up to 95% correlation. What people say in a survey matches what they do only 20 to 30% of the time.

Some of the world's leading enterprises run their biggest decisions through Heatseeker, including L'Oréal, Cisco, Hearst, DoorDash, KPMG, HelloFresh and Boost Mobile. We also connect over MCP to Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, so customer truth shows up wherever teams work.

We're a small, senior team building fast. Every person here shapes the product, and every customer conversation shapes what we build next.

Why this role is different

Product management is being pulled in two directions at once, and we think that's a good thing.

Closer to the customer. When AI can draft a spec in minutes, the scarce skill is knowing which problem is worth solving. That comes from time in the room with customers, not time in a backlog.

Closer to the code. Coding agents have collapsed the distance between an idea and a working change. The best PMs no longer hand off tickets and wait. They prototype, fix friction and ship small improvements themselves.

The layer in the middle, turning notes into tickets and tickets into status updates, is shrinking. This role is built for what replaces it.

The center of gravity is the customer. You'll spend most of your time with the marketing, insights and innovation leaders who use Heatseeker. What you learn there sets the direction of the product. You'll own the growth question too: what makes customers use Heatseeker every week, and what makes them expand. Your engineering work is how you make that direction real, fast.

What you'll do

With customers

  • Be a trusted advisor to senior marketing, insights and innovation teams at global enterprises. Help them frame the right questions and design experiments that answer them.
  • Own onboarding and adoption for a set of key accounts, so every workspace delivers a decision the customer could not have made without us.
  • Sit in on readouts, working sessions and QBRs. Hear the unfiltered version of what's working and what isn't.
  • Spot where the product falls short of what a customer needs, and close the gap, with a workaround today and a product fix soon after.
  • Bring the voice of the customer into every roadmap conversation, backed by evidence: usage data, transcripts and experiment results.

Growth: usage and expansion

  • Find what drives real value for customers: which workflows, moments and outcomes turn Heatseeker into an everyday habit.
  • Own the metrics for active usage, retention and expansion. Know which accounts are healthy, which are drifting, and why.
  • Map the paths to expansion: new teams, new markets, new use cases inside the same enterprise. Build the product moments that make them happen.
  • Run experiments on activation, onboarding and in-product growth loops, and ship the winners.
  • Partner with our commercial team so product signals turn into renewals and upsell conversations.

With product, design and engineering

  • Turn what you hear from customers into clear problem statements, priorities and bets.
  • Work with design and engineering to shape solutions, from rough prototype to shipped feature.
  • Track where AI is heading, including models, agents and MCP, and where our market is heading, and bring both into how we build.
  • Define success metrics that tie product work to customer outcomes, and follow up after launch.

Hands-on in the code

  • Use coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to prototype ideas, fix friction and ship small improvements yourself.
  • Remove friction across the product: confusing flows, copy, edge cases, slow paths and papercuts customers keep hitting.
  • Build internal tools, skills and agent workflows that make the team and our customers faster.
  • Work in our real codebase with engineering review. You're not replacing engineers; you're giving them back time for the hard problems.

What you bring

  • 5+ years in product, customer-facing or consulting roles, with at least 2 in B2B SaaS. Enterprise or high-touch accounts preferred.
  • Senior customer presence. You can run a working session with a Global CMO or Head of Insights, and leave with their trust and a clear next step.
  • Consultative instinct. You diagnose before you prescribe. You can turn a vague business question into a testable hypothesis.
  • Growth fluency. You've owned activation, usage, retention or expansion metrics, and you know how to move them.
  • Data-fluent. You pull your own numbers from product analytics and SQL, and you make calls with them.
  • AI-native. You follow what's new in models, agents and MCP, and you have opinions about what it means for products like ours.
  • Bias for action. You default to progress over perfection, and you'd rather fix it than write a ticket about it.

Bonus points

  • Background in market research, consumer insights, brand strategy or management consulting.
  • Experience with paid social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) or experimentation tools.
  • You've been a founder, an early employee, or a forward-deployed PM or engineer.
  • You've built with agents: prompts, evals, agents or MCP servers.
  • Experience with product-led growth inside an enterprise, sales-led motion.

How we work and what we offer

  • Real enterprise work from week one. You'll be in front of global brands early, with the support to do it well.
  • An AI-native team. We build with coding agents, run our own product through MCP, and expect everyone to automate the boring parts.
  • Ownership. Small team, short loops. What you learn on Tuesday can be in the product by Friday.
  • Kind, ambitious people. We care about the craft, about our customers, and about each other.
  • Location: Sydney preferred. Some travel to customers, including the US.
