Connect LinkedIn to Heatseeker

Heatseeker runs live experiments as real ads on your LinkedIn page. To do that, it needs access to the page and to an ad account. On every annual plan (Base, Pro, Scale, and Enterprise) you choose how the media runs:

• Managed experiments: Heatseeker's team runs the media. You add Heatseeker as a partner in LinkedIn Business Manager and share your pages and ad accounts. Follow Share access with Heatseeker.
• Self-serve media: you run the media through your own LinkedIn ad account. You connect it from inside Heatseeker. Follow Connect your own account.

You can use both, and switch between them later.

Before you start

Pick a Workspace Admin for Heatseeker. This is someone from your company who already has admin access to your LinkedIn Business Manager. They will:

• Set up and manage the LinkedIn integration
• Decide which pages and ad accounts are shared with Heatseeker
• Invite and manage members of your Heatseeker workspace

Send the Workspace Admin's email address to the Heatseeker team so we can invite them to the workspace.

Everything below happens in LinkedIn Business Manager and needs admin access there. If you do not have it, ask a colleague who does.

Share access with Heatseeker

For managed experiments, where Heatseeker runs the media.

Step 1: Add Heatseeker as a partner

1. Open LinkedIn Business Manager.
2. Click Partners in the left menu.
3. Click Add Partner in the upper right.
4. Enter Heatseeker's Business Manager ID 7234063642365714433.
5. Click Add Partner.

Heatseeker now appears in your Partners list.

Step 2: Share your pages

Do this for every brand you want to run experiments under.

1. In Partners, click Heatseeker.
2. Click Share Pages and select the pages to share.
3. Click Assign Roles and turn on:
   • Content Admin
   • Sponsored Content Poster
   • Lead Gen Forms Manager, only if you run lead gen ads
4. Click Share.

Make sure your Workspace Admin holds the same roles on those pages.

Step 3: Share your ad accounts

1. In Partners, click Heatseeker.
2. Click Share Ad Accounts and select the ad accounts to share.
3. Click Assign Roles and choose Campaign Manager (recommended) or Account Manager.
4. Click Share.

Your Workspace Admin must also be added directly to each shared ad account as Campaign Manager or Account Manager.

That's it. Tell us when the sharing is done and we will confirm the connection from our side.

Connect your own account

For self-serve media, where you run the media through your own account. No partner setup is needed.

1. Log in to Heatseeker.
2. Go to Settings, then Integrations.
3. Click + Add LinkedIn.
4. Follow the prompts to sign in to LinkedIn and choose your page and ad account.

You're set. Experiments now run through your own LinkedIn page and ad account.
