Connect Meta to Heatseeker

Give Heatseeker access to your Meta pages and ad accounts so experiments run under your own brand. Share access for managed experiments, or connect your own account to self-serve the media.

Heatseeker runs live experiments as real ads on your Facebook and Instagram pages. To do that, it needs access to those pages and to an ad account. On every annual plan (Base, Pro, Scale, and Enterprise) you choose how the media runs:

  • Managed experiments: Heatseeker's team runs the media. You share your pages and ad accounts with Heatseeker as a partner in Meta Business Suite. Follow Share access with Heatseeker.
  • Self-serve media: you run the media through your own Meta ad account. You connect it from inside Heatseeker. Follow Connect your own account.

You can use both, and switch between them later.

If you only want Heatseeker AI to read campaign performance, and not run ads, see Enable Meta ad performance data instead.

Before you start

Pick a Workspace Admin for Heatseeker. This is someone from your company who already has admin access to your Meta Business Suite. They will:

  • Set up and manage the Meta integration
  • Decide which pages and ad accounts are shared with Heatseeker
  • Manage who is invited to your Heatseeker workspace

Everything below happens in Meta Business Suite and needs admin access there. If you do not have it, ask a colleague who does.

Share access with Heatseeker

For managed experiments, where Heatseeker runs the media.

Step 1: Share your pages

Do this for every brand you want to run experiments under.

  1. In Meta Business Suite, go to Settings.
  2. Under Users, select Partners.
  3. Click Add, then choose Give a partner access to your assets.
  4. Enter Heatseeker's Business ID 650946533864658 and click Next.
  5. Select the Facebook or Instagram Pages to share.
  6. Turn on the Ads, Insights, and Leads permissions.

Make sure your Workspace Admin holds the same permissions on those pages.

Step 2: Share your ad accounts

Do this if Heatseeker runs your media, or if you want your ad history used to train synthetic audiences.

  1. Go to Settings, then Ad Accounts, then Partners.
  2. Share the ad accounts you want Heatseeker to use, with Business ID 650946533864658.
  3. Turn on these permissions:
    • Manage campaigns. Skip this if you only want synthetic audience training.
    • View performance

Make sure your Workspace Admin holds the same permissions on those ad accounts.

That's it. Tell us when the sharing is done and we will confirm the connection from our side. Meta's own walkthrough is here: Meta's guide to sharing assets with a partner.

Connect your own account

For self-serve media, where you run the media through your own account. No partner setup is needed.

  1. Log in to Heatseeker.
  2. Go to Settings, then Integrations.
  3. Click + Add Meta.
  4. Follow the prompts to sign in to Meta and choose your pages and ad account.

You're set. Experiments now run through your own Meta pages and ad account.
